I am a Professor of Latin American and Caribbean literature and film at the University of Cincinnati. 

My research and teaching investigate migration, race, gender, sexuality, geographical imagination, and political dissent in Latin American and Caribbean literature, film, and cultural studies. I also work at the intersection of critical discourse analysis and digital humanities, focusing on archival practices, the development of digital tools, and the evolving relationship between text, media, memory, and global issues.
